She’s lightweight and unassuming, but her tones are top shelf. We‘ll put this up against an expensive boutique guitar any day of the week.

Yamaha S70 1966 - Natural

Didn’t do our usual modifying and refinishing on this fella… not even a spit polish actually. So, admittedly, he could use a cleaning up. I was caught between being lazy and astounded by how good he sounded without the detailing we usually get into.
Because… he’s in fantastic physical/structural/sonic shape. We set ‘er up scrupulously, dressing the frets and even shaped a new bone nut for him. Also, new tuners…
These ‘Dynamic’ examples from Yamaha were made to accommodate both classical and steel strings. We have D’Addario Custom Light steel strings on him now. He booms!
I really like the sound and feel of ‘im - though he ‘booms’, he’s really clear, articulate.
I’ll find a hard shell case to ship him in so that’ll be reflected in our price, which we think is really fair.
